Archaeologists at Navan

Archaeologists from ACS have recently completed extensive testing of a proposed new development on the outskirts of Navan, Co. Meath. Advance geophysical survey of the area combined with targeted testing of the features has led to the discovery of a medieval field system and several other isolated features including pits, spreads and post-holes. The features will either be preserved in situ below green space or fully excavated by an archaeological team should the development proceed.
