Geophysical Surveys
Our Services
Geophysical Surveys are usually required by a condition attached to a grant of planning permission or a request for further information and are undertaken in advance of construction.
Geophysical Survey, in the form of magnetic gradiometry, is a non-intrusive method for rapidly mapping archaeological objects, structures, deposits and other features, including geological anomalies, that survive beneath the ground surface. The results will inform how best to deal with any potential archaeological finds or features before construction work commences or planning permission is granted.
